ZEOSORB A+
NATURE'S OWN PURIFICATION
Toxic and harmful emissions from landfill sites are an ever increasing issue. This natural process of biogas generation occurs when municipal solid waste (MSM) or simply put, trash, meets water and bacteria proliferate and microbial processes' start.
One of the main issues is the production of Hydrogen Sulphide or H2S. Due to its high density,
it can spread over a substantial area. It is toxic for humans to breath. Another detrimental leakage is ammonia. Further environmental distress occurs via runoff into ground water, impacting local water courses, with pollution resulting in the eutrophication of nearby rivers or water courses. Resultantly high readings of heavy metals, nitrates and phosphorous are not uncommon. This is catastrophic for the eco-system and our planet.
This is very distressing to any urban populations within the close proximity, however companies and local authorities are under even greater pressure. Stricter environmental regulations place legal complications on companies to control and curtail these harmful emissions. Currently there are no significant solutions, and definitely none natural but we at Zeo-Concept ECE know this disaster can be contained...
ZEOSORB A+ IS A SPECIALISED CATALYST
While the production of Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) cannot be prevented, ZeoSorb A+ can reduce its emissions instantly and permanently binds it. Furthermore, it substantially prevents leakage of Carbon Dioxide and Ammonium, and the heavy metals below:

ZeoSorb A+ removes and insulates pollutants and harmful substances. As well as hard surface spills it is for use in soil and water to; clean, heal, rejuvenate and fertiliser the land. ZeoSorb A+ is the ultimate rehabilitator. From minor oil spills, cleaning up industrial accidents, cleaning contaminated land or land-fill sites, it facilities the process of land being returned to recreational, agriculture or redevelopment use.
The way nature intended.
A breakthrough solution. From pollution to plant power.
How to create a safe environment the natural way:
OPTION 1.
Simplest - cover to cover: The site is blanketed with the courser grade ZeoSorb A+ size D (8-16mm particle size). The expected result will be a slow but steady absorption uptake, achieving a decreased smell and leakage of H2S and a target uptake potential of 30-50% of gas emissions.
OPTION 2.
The Farming Way - ZeoSorb A+ is spread over the ground with a fertiliser spreader and then ploughed-in to a depth of 50-70cm (the deeper the better). This will capsulate nutrients and metals, and restore the pH balance to the soil. There will be no run-off leakage from the soil, but instead the metals and nutrients will remain bonded. The ground can then be used for agriculture, with the ZeoSorb A+ infused into the soil, providing a barrier and preventing any future leaking to plants.
OPTION 3.
In-situ Cleaning - The soil is dug down to a depth of up to 1 metre, and then run through either a flat or rotary soil mixer, using a ratio of 10kg of ZeoSorb A+ and water, to 1m3 of soil. After the washed soil is returned to the ground it will be pH neutral and the nutrients and metals will be contained and removed. A ZeoWater system is required to clean the waste water.
OPTION 4.
For heavy gas emissions and for future cover and prevention: The site is covered in a fine layer of ZeoSorb A+ (0-1mm particle size), then covered with a layer of clean soil. The expected result will be 60-90% of all gas emissions contained and absorbed immediately on contact. There is then the possibility to add grass to the soil if the site is intended for recreational use in the future.
